When you've had it "up to here" with coconut water...

If you ever get to feeling hot-tempered, impatient, or hot-flashy, it could be an overload of heat. It happens about the same time each year when summer is near it's end - earth element is coming in, and you're feeling soooo ready for autumn! But summer is not done with us yet, and we need to purge this infernal heat from the inside.

Coconut water is of course excellent at maintaining hydration and electrolytes, but here's some tasty drink recipes we love (beyond the coconut) that provide sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes to cool the fire element.

Rose Nectar Infused Iced Green Tea (recipe modified from DrinkPureRose.com)

  • 2 cups of hot water (but not boiling)

  • Pour over 2 green tea bags

  • Add 2 Tbsp of Pure Rose Nectar 🌹🌿

  • Then add 1 cup of cold water or ice to chill

  • Add a natural sweetener to taste such as honey, stevia, or agave

Cucumber Mint Lemonade

  • Squeeze the juice of 2 lemons into a tall glass

  • With 6 cups of filtered water

  • Dice 1/2 of an English cucumber, and add it to the glass

  • From the other half of the English cucumber, slice 3 rounds and set 2 aside to place over your eyes for the spa effect, and the last one as a garnish for your drink.

  • Stir Maple syrup, agave, or stevia for sweetness, then stir

  • Tear up 3 sprigs of fresh mint to the glass, stir again

  • Place a few sprigs of mint to the top as a garnish
